2. Lucassen, Arjen Anthony: Strange Hobby. Arjen Anthony Lucassen is best known for his progressive rock concept album project Ayreon. The band has produced some incredible albums and has led to other projects like Stream of Passion, Guilt Machine and the progressive metal juggernaut Star One.

3. Despite popular belief, Strange Hobby is not a moniker, but just the album's title. The album was a complete mystery and confused listeners due to Lucassen's insistence on keeping his involvement in the project a secret. He released the album without artist name and was not credited for any participation.

7. Aug 21,  · The album was a bust commercially and has been out-of-print for over a decade, ratcheting up its demand as a premium (i.e. pricey) collectible. Twenty years on, Lucassen has reissued Strange Hobby on CD on his own Aluca Music label, adding a handful of new bonus tracks to sweeten the deal. More than a gift to his loyal fans, the album is a hell.

8. Strange Hobby has been out of print for over a decade and is now a much sought-after collectors' item. This edition includes four bonus tracks which have not been available on the album previously. This re-release is likely to be a big surprise to many of his fans. The CD release of Strange Hobby is the first on Arjen's own Aluca Music imprint/5(11).
